Responsibilities:
As the majority of the cages at Divertigranja are made from re-used materials, they often need attention and occasional repairs; something as simple as a loose wire could mean the loss of an animal. This volunteer will be on hand to repair the animal’s cages and provide general maintenance for the farm as needed.
Additionally, the handy person will frequently assist in the building of new installations, often with material not normally used in such applications. Creativity is a must! There is always a new project going on, and knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electricity, masonry, or welding will be very useful. However, the ability to work with tools and to learn new tool-use is sufficient for this position--the staff has professionals on hand to assist when needed.
